Title: Turbulance
Post by: SCTusk on September 12, 2010, 11:29:03 AM
I realise this has been mooted before but it seems like a really good idea, and I don't see any significant downside. Random patches of dirty air would suffice, perhaps more frequent under 500 feet for added realism. It would improve the 'feel' of the game and certainly make gunnery more interesting. Rather disappointing on those long flights sitting there with your stick in your hand and no real reason to move it around  :joystick:

I usually use that time to go to the Head..........  Although I am +1 for wind, I do think "turbulence" would cause the death of many an afk pilot.   :old:

get a stick that has forcefeedback (I think the game supports it), that's more realistic than hell.

We can't get turbulence without wind.

We have wind now.  And you do experience a large disturbance when you go from one strong wind layer to another... We experimented with this in the AvA with mutliple wind layers that were close together to simulate turbulance... and it worked with great success when dog fighting, dive bombing etc.  Level flight it has no impact though...

AKDogg managed to get everyone back in the tower with a 100mph wind... I was the only one in a biplane...just picture what my wings did. :D

Betty laughed along with AKdogg for a good 15 minutes so we managed to start KOTH late :rofl
