Can anyone skin a N1K that has some faded style paint...
-
Do you have a picture of it or something, kinda having a hard time picturing a NIKI with faded paint job.
Also if you find one I could start it soon as I finish my F6F project.

Alot like this

I really wouldn't take how a skinner in another game made the paint peel off, as a historical depiction. The question is: Did it really look like that?
I honestly don't know myself, but I wouldn't rely on an IL2 skin for much accuracy.

Alot of Japanese planes looked weathered and rugged by 1945. I just want a weathered rugged looking N1K
-
lots of the rugged looking ones you are talking about, are older models, the N1K2 and J2M fighters were so new, and as lots of them weren't operating in the thick of the jungle, they didn't really get weathered like you speak of, and as there was so few N1K2's produced, accurate profiles of it are hard to find

I've seen pictures with a bit of wear right where you get into the cockpit and abit halfway down the nose as well (I assume there is some access panel there, where heavy use wore the paint off) but there isn't really as much as you might see on other planes.
-
I thought the reason why a lot of Japanese planes show heavy weathering is because the quality of the paint used was piss poor near the end of the war.

Not to mention they didn't use primer.

and also, I forgot to add 1 thing, due to shortages and rationing, in late 44-45, they just didnt paint the whole planes, a good example of this is the 183 Shimbu Tai skin by Skychimp for the Ki-84
