Mean the 90% of youtube vids with it lol?  From what ive been told if people like Ray William Johnson and so forth allow those to be put on their videos they get some money, not much but some.  Normally its the most watched Youtube people.

Not much you say? Guys such as RWJ or davidsfarm get more than 15,000$ a month with this. I have been personnaly contacted by YouTube a couple months ago to put ads next to one video. I could have ads next to all my vids if I wished.

I dont mind the commercials... just refresh the page and its gone (or press F5)

Honestly I think it's where we are headed.  ABC, NBC, Fox, and so on need to make advertising revenue to stay in business.

I have to set this up so be patient with me.  In my household we have me (AH junkie), a room mate who is a big WOW guy, and the Squid (my son and his friends AKA 'The Crew') who are online a heck of a lot more than we bother to watch television.  After my last equipment upgrade I went for over 3 weeks without turning on a TV and discovered that the tech had wired it wrong.  *shrug*  I didn't really NEED to watch 'Burn Notice' as I could catch it online.

Last night I was talking to the AT&T guy who informed me that I could switch to an extremely high bandwidth package (and mines seriously quick) for less than the amount that I pay for the television service I subscribe to.  So I called my room mate and the Squid in and asked them what they wanted to do.  Both of them emphatically voted to dump the TV services and up the bandwidth.

Now if I can just figure out how to watch UT, TCU, and the Cowgirls, play online I'll be good to go.

You know what.. it's not the commercials I mind so much... actually I'm all for it if it means keeping a website I frequent up and running.

My problem is having to watch a 30 second commercial for a 45 second video!  That gets ridiculous.  At least find a way to keep them proportional.  Maybe a quick 5 second sport for up to five minute videos... and a 30 second spot for up to 30 minutes.  I know it's not so easy to implement, but I'll just find other websites to visit if the commercials get to be too much.
