guns- be able to select how many bullets up to the max in each gun you want. for example you could take 0 bullets in the tail gun for the 110g2 and not have to kill your accuracy shooting them all off.
fuel. instead of 25% 50% be able to type the number of gallons you would like in each tank.
I believe this would make the game more fun and the planes more customizable. rewarding players who customize their fuel and ammo loads well. perhaps adding another dimension to an already great game!

+1 on fuel
Don't know about guns.
-
Being able to delete guns isn't unrealistic. I've read of P-40 pilots removing two guns to improve performance and 190 drivers getting rid of the smaller caliber cowl guns.
-
If the aircraft weight is lower with no ammo for a gunner position, should we also subtract 200 lbs for the gunner we left at the Zebra Club?

I've never heard of that being done for the Bf110's tail gun though.

yeah i have seen people do it tones of time. its a lot of bad weight and shooting off the tail gun improves performance. go on a 110 noe raid sometime, you will hear the tail guns going wild

I would be much better

I thought this was one of those AH myths?

See if you fly a B-24 with 4 bombs instead of 8 your plane will not act like a fighter, same thing here 110 will not be more maneuverable if you waist your 1000 rounds. The difference will be so small that you will not be able to notice it, and it will certainly not save you.

then why do so many people shoot it off, i have heard its because the guns in that 110 on not in the center of gravity which hinder performance.

The difference is so slight in performance that I doubt anybody would notice it unless they fly the 110 as a main ride.
I too see players do this.
I never have.
Flying the 110 as much as I used to I never saw the point.

I can't wait for a spit 16 with custom 150 octane fuel :devil

The advantage one gains by shooting off the tail gun ammo in a 110G is mostly imaginary.
A 50% fuel 110G with the big gun package weighs 17198. Shooting off the tail ammo will reduce that mass by 98lbs - that's 0.6 %
And to put it into perspective - that's about the same mass your engines are burning in fuel in 2 minutes of flight time.

Pie charts or I dont believe it!!!

forget the 110 thing than, although im glade some of you cleared that up, i will nolonger shoot the tailgun off with that :aok it would still be more fun to be able to customize our rides, and good for the game. :airplane:

...and not have to kill your accuracy shooting them all off...
That is if people are concerned about their score/stats. If you don't play for score, then it really is pointless to implement a customizable gun loadout. I fly around all the time in my twin engine birds. I know how well I shoot. I can't give a number, but I know where my accuracy is in terms of using the gunsight, range, setting up shots, etc. If you know those things, then looking up numbers on the score page is irrelevant.
But since I don't play for score, this wish is not something I see HTC wasting their time and effort on. I would rather see updated planes and bug fixes instead.

it really has nothing to do with score/stats. its all about convenience and variety. how many spit flyers out there would like to load the bottom tank full of fuel and leave the top empty? the examples i have put out there may not be great, they are just examples, but there are literally hundreds of ways custom fuel and guns would be useful and fun that have nothing to do with stats.

it is very slight. but in my opinion its that slight extra 90 lbs centered to the rear of the plane that makes it a slight better option to shoot the 1500 rounds you have back there. not much of a difference though and i sometimes keep the ammo so if i lose a part i can set up and kill one or two behind me or have a gunner join me to cover my butt.

Thank you for reinforcing my point. Fuel has nothing to do with score. If you had read my previous post, I was referencing to gun loadouts. Not fuel. I don't care how customizable fuel loadout is. The OP had made a statement that emptying your tail gun ammo would reduce your accuracy- in accordance to the scores/stats page. My rebuttal to his statement is that only someone who cares about score/stats would want this wish implemented in the game.
So my point is, I don't play for score. If I want to empty my tail gun ammo to reduce weight, I will simply shoot the gun till the ammo runs out. I don't need to look at the score/stats to see how accurate I am at shooting. I know how accurate I am by my ability to set up shots, evaluate range, and use the gunsight.

it would be nice to be able to remove the rear gun entierly from th 110 and the Ju88 as well - i am sure with the entire gun package removed from the rear th weight reduction would be more significant.

quite useful in a JU-88. I've knocked down a Tempy before in those

try this. go straight up when somebody is chasing you, he'll think he has an easy kill, he will follow, set autopilot angle mode, move to gunner open up when he gets closer. then laugh your butt off if you kill him.

yah, I just want to try to use the JU-88 like it was used later in the war - as the most effective night-fighter of the war (other then the blackwidow, but that does not count).

what gun package did the nightfighter 88 have?
