I think it would add another bombing goal and also realistic effect to the game if bomb craters on the runway would disable aircraft taking of and landing ie: landing gear breaks ect....if you ran over them
-
Had that back in the days of Warbirds. Sucked hard.
-
Scherf is correct. It makes it too easy to shut down an airfield.
-
I just think it would add more realism I do remember it being in Fighter ace years ago also
-
Killing hangars would be the same effect as craters.

It would if we could avoid them, but you don't even know it is there until you spawn in in. In reality your Spitfire or Bf109 didn't just appear at the end of the runway regardless of the damage there.

I'll taxi around those craters lol
-
I like this idea, It also could be used for advantages in GV battles when you drop the bombs you could create craters for friendly GV's to use as cover. +1 :aok

One egg at plane spawn will stop uppers. Really bad idea. One egg in front of vh will stop gvs from upping too. So it will take max 2 eggs to take a gv base. plus some deacking, realistic or not it will be bad for the game.

-1 No reason a single bomber should be able to close a field that easily. How about you work
a little harder for it?

There is a gray area between realism & game playability. HiTech is trying to keep it there.

Silver is better than a shade of grey. It's much shinier!
