Title: Aces High Film Editor Download

Is there a downloadable standalone version of the
Film Editor without the full game?

I'd like to edit some video in work but don't
want to install the whole game (for obvious reasons).

No.

The film viewer needs the game to create the film out of the raw .ahf data.

I missed your reply awhile back, no email notifications, sorry.

Like Lusche said, the film viewer needs the game. It also needs the correct terrain .res file to work.

I think it's just a matter of which files it needs,   You could copy all the files except for the exe for the game.   and it should work for you.  Should all fit on a 2GB stick.

Has anyone done this?  I too would like to download the film viewer for "away-from-home" editing opportunities.

I don't think you could run the viewer without the game. How it works is it replays the stream of data (the .ahf file)  captured during the game while you recorded and uses the game engine to display what you see. It's not a video at all.
