Can we please hide the cursor if I haven't moved the mouse in a little bit? Then show it again when I move the mouse, or even if I open the clipboard? I wouldn't care so much about the size if it wasn't in the way while flying, and I hate having to zip it off to the side of the screen every time I close the clipboard.

+1, have to agree with this. Especially since AH made it such an eye sore.

Good call on this one! +1

There is a thread in the general forums in which a player posted the old small cursor. Use that to replace the current extremely large and obtrusive cursor and you won't have an issue anymore.

I don't want even the little cursor around. Falcon 4 spoiled me...

Some, if not all, experienced pilots ingame use that cursor for one thing or another. You also might want to consider taking a look at how your views are setup. :salute

Like all things, perhaps make it user-configurable for those who don't want it on the screen unless they are actively moving it around.

That is exactly why it is a good idea to have the cursor disappear after period of inactivity. I've always been against using the mouse as a gunsight, no matter who endorses/promotes it.

currently there are times when the cursor disappears from the screen and you have to hit the “H” key to get it back. Why not allow the pressing of the “H” key to hid the cursor.
-
Why not move the cursor to some innocuous spot, out if the way? Lazy much?
I can't find my cursor half the time, because it's in some innocuous spot out of the way.
Otherwise, I use it as a gunsight.

I believe I said I do, and it's annoying, especially if you bring up the clipboard, see an enemy con nearby, and then have to take the extra time to move it out of the way to clear your view. I try to keep the mouse out of the way of my joystick and throttle, so I'm taking my hands off the stick to move it (or reach across from the throttle), and unless you are trimmed perfectly (ha!) that means the plane is going to fall off or something worse while doing it.
-
I just move the cursor to the upper corner of the screen. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.

If they decided to make it disappear, I would just magic marker the center of my monitor or get a small piece of see through tape. :aok

+1 It'd be a nice feature. I don't know that it would be a necessity, but I'd like to see that feature applied to the game.

Ditto what Uptown said. Just manually move the cursor off screen, when done.

What Grizz said. Not having a mouse wouldn't stop people finding a way to make an aim point.
In the old days of CRT monitors I always had a small black dot dead center.
With new LCD monitors you just use a sliver of tape with a black spot on it.
Just tuck the mouse away in the lower left or right corner as you start every sortie.

:lol nice
I'd definitely go to office max to pick out the best 'dotter' if it ever came down to it, hehe.

That does not work when I need the mouse to move the map around or adjust other settings from the clipboard. And it's a pain to do it when I'm trying to fly and fight.
I understand this can be worked around, but it's a computer, why should I have to do the work? As for the whole "center of the monitor" thing, why not ask for a separate feature that optionally puts a small mark / crosshair / customizable bitmap at the center of the screen if that's really desirable?
