Title: WoT help
Post by: Nemisis on September 23, 2010, 06:20:45 PM
OK, I posted this on the WoT forums, but incase there is anyone here that doesn't use the WoT forums, I'll post it in the O'club:

WoT will not start. I'm a registered beta tester, I have the current patches downloaded, but when I click on the red "play" button on the launcher, it acts as though I've hit the 'close' button. I get the working cursor for a second or so, and then the launcher screen disapears.

Anyone help?

How would I check to see if it is, and link it there if it isn't?

Right Click > properties > Shortcut >Target and or Start in

Running as an admin, and its linked to the WoT folder. Still acts as if I'm pressing the 'close' button. Just get the working cursor, and then it disapears.

Open the folder that contains the game, and start the game by double clicking on the folder with the game name/icon on it. You have a launcher problem, I had the same thing a couple weeks ago. They fixed it eventually.

Would it read "WoT.exe? Or is there something that didn't get instaled? because it says it "this application has failed to start because voip.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix the problem."

All thats in my WoT folder that actually has the name/icon on it is "WoT.exe", and "WOTLauncher.exe".

Voip would be the voice (voice over IP).  Not sure how that's missing but does your WoT folder look like this?

I Do not know what WoT is. "last game i had called WoT was Wings of thunder, a old old old dos game"

15964 posts, and a 2002 registration. Im 2003 and have under 2k of post's. People need to do more flying and less chatter.
Not to bash you ack-ack, you have contributed alot in a good way to the aces high community.  :salute
