Do you think there should be Flying Boats and/or Sea Planes in the game like these:
- Consolidated PBY/OA-10 Catalina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consolidated_PBY) (1935; United States, United Kingdom, and Canada)
- Consolidated PB2Y Coronado (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PB2Y_Coronado) (1937; United States, and The United Kingdom)
- Curtiss SOC Seagull (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOC_Seagull) (1935; United States)
- Curtiss SO3C Seamew (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SO3C_Seamew) (1942; United States)
- Curtiss SC Seahawk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SC_Seahawk) (1944; United States)
- Dornier Do 26 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dornier_Do_26) (1938; Germany)
- Grumman F4F-3S "Wild Catfish" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumman_F4F_Wildcat#F4F-3S_.22Wildcatfish.22) (1943; United States)
- Martin PBM Mariner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PBM_Mariner) (1939; United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and The Netherlands)
- Ikarus IO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikarus_IO) (1926; Kingdom of Yugoslavia)
- Ikarus ŠM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikarus_%C5%A0M) (1924; Kingdom of Yugoslavia)
- Northrop N-3PB (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_N-3PB) (1940; Norway)
- Short Sunderland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_Sunderland) (1938; United Kingdom)
- Sikorsky JRS-1/OA-8 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikorsky_S-43) (1935; United States)
- Vought OS2U Kingfisher (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OS2U_Kingfisher) (1938; United States)

if we're gonna have gonna have float planes mightas well as 1 of the most famous: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakajima_A6M2-N

I think our water will need to be redesigned if we are going to have sea planes. It's probably a good idea but not in the near future.

This is the one thing that I have wished for consistently since 1996 when I started flying WWII planes online in Warbirds. It was one of my first wish's here in AH once it opened back in 2000. And yes I'm still waiting.
Thats ok, I'm patient.
Mavis, Emily, PBY, Short Sunderland, Rufe, you name it, if its a seaplane or a fighter on floats I want to fly it.

Floatplanes would not be competitive in the MA. You could let them up from ports or coastal V bases to give them some sort of reason for being, but given the short distances in the MA its not much of an advantage to have.
Its hard to make much of a case for them for scenarios either. They were mostly used for anti submarine work, air sea rescue and naval reconnaisance. They only rarely fought air to air and only then with one or two floatplanes involved.

Float planes would not be competitive, but some flying boats would be. The H8K2 has performance that exceeds that of the B-17 by far in endurance, a fair margin in climb and nearly matches it in speed and payload.

i never knew there was an F4F floatplane :headscratch:
did it ever see a little thing called combat?

according to wik, 1 made, so no though im sure all sources about numbers will conflict with each other

You mean to be launched only off this field only, right?

Or a field that's close to River's, Lake's or the Ocean, am I correct or not?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I would first in line to fly a PBY or a H8K in a scenario. Though I feel that most float planes wouldn't be that great the H8K would be a pretty viable plane in the MA and the PBY would be loved by those who just want to do something different.
