Title: Wav file question
Post by: Maverick on September 27, 2000, 11:40:00 PM
A buddy sent me a wav file of a "panzer" fighting song. It's in German of course but sounds neat.

My question. How do I post it?? I tried to copy it and paste it but no luck. Any leads here? Please use small words, puter dweeb here.   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Thanks,

If your ISP-operator gaved you free space on their server it's easy:
Use your IE4/5 to upload files to there.
Usually you had to it like this:

ftp://username: password@ftp.yourISP.com (no space between words)

Then you can copy/paste files from your PC to ISP's server.
Next just made a link here:
(url=www.myISP.com/maverick/panzerlied.wav)PanzerLied(/url)
(change these () with [])

If it dont work you can use sites like 50megs (http://www.50megs.com) to share files. Bad thing is you need to make web-page where the link is and save it with file (IE4/5 comes with Frontpage express, easy to use).

Easiest way is send it to me via e-mail and I'll put it to 50megs     (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
