One of the things that you cannot simulate easily or accurately in a flight sim is the "seat of the pants" feel that gravity affords. This game gives some indication of G-forces by using "tunnel vision," black-out, and red-out visual effects, and in some planes, a G-meter. But when fighting, the G-meter is irrelevant (except to the maintenence officer) because you feel G's. The visual effects are good, but is there anything else that can be done to simulate/represent G's without making the sim too gamey? Flame away.

Easy. Use an ejection seat for your pc chair. As soon as you start turning fire it off and then you can actually feel the G's your toon pilot is feeling :devil

To simulate G's you need to do the following:
While sitting at the PC you keep your feet in a tub of warm water. Attach a nipple clamp to each nipple and connect the clamps to a 12 volt charging system. With a simple bit of coding and an interface, each time you pull + or - G's you will be fed some current into your nipple clamps, strength depending on the amount of G's being pulled. More G's, the stronger the current is.
With this, you can experience the wonderful world of G forces without leaving the comfort of your home!
Call within the next 10 minutes and we will throw in an additional set of stainless nipple clamps with your CPID engraved into them. With these you will never have to experience the akward moment of looking for lost clamps.

I'll take two!
Also, could you throw in the... family jewel clamps to simulate negative Gs?

Get a USB G-Collar. Fits snugly around your neck and plugs into any available USB port. Email HTC for a waiver and the special activation code and fly, fly, fly. Every time you pull G's, the collar inflates - restricting the bloodflow to your brain. Higher G-loads means more pressure. Sustained high-G maneuvers may result in unconsciousness and/or death (hence the HTC waiver).

Did bruce lee die testing the inflatable usb collar?

last I heard there was some simulator equipment in development that would draw the fluid in your inner ear back and forth which would stimulate your brain to make you feel motion and/or G load to a certain extent.

Not really. Black outs and tunnel visions are about as close as you're going to get without gaming the game. I wouldn't mind adding some additional sounds to go with pulling a lot of G's, like some heavy breathing or panting. But I often find myself doing that anyways when fighting. Lol. :lol

i think this is a very valid post. I especially like the idea of cumulative fatigue.
