I would love to see a hardnose/cannons option for the Ju88, like the B25C has the strafer package. How 'bout U?

Sure +1
Would give the night fliers in the AVA a new toy

Wasn't it a completely different varient?

Wasn't it a completely different varient?
you mean to say we should have an 88 with cannons, better engines, and possibly more durable?
thats impossible..... :lol

Night fighter variant was the G model IIRC. Would also like to see the P models. Had 4 37mm cannons, a 50mm cannon, or a 75mm cannon. I THINK they used both AP and HE rounds, but I'm not sure.

Not quite sure about the differences, although the airframe is pretty identical, don't know about the horsepower, it could be increased maybe

First solid nose was the C-6, and I believe it had 3x 7mm and 3x MGFF 20mm. Some were used as night fighters, but some were tasked with ground attack (anti shipping, if I recall?) and flew in daytime with glass painted over the nose to disguise them.
The Gs were purpose built MUCH more powerful night fighters. They had multiple 20mm MG121/50s, gunpods, VERY powerful engines and a much much higher top speed. These planes didn't even look like their daylight predecessors anymore.
I would like to see a C-6 maybe, but as giant a behemoth as it was it was no fighter plane. It was also about 50mph slower than a Bf110C-4 which had about the same weaponry and way better chances of survival.

Whenever HTC updates the Ju88s, I would very much like to see some variants of them- including the G-series nightfighter. Would be a fun matchup between a Ju88 and a Mosquito Mk6. I am all for adding more twin engine planes! :)

I'm not for anything night-fighting....
It's an entirely different game dynamic best left up to sophisticated offline campaign-based gameplay style.
It's no good for MMO gameplay. Especially considering flying at night is kinda stupid in AH.
-
or we could just get night fighters without the night. We have LVT's available at bases hundreds of miles from any water, but you don't complain about that.

-She sure looks smurfy, but I bet she's a fun ride.

the 88G series was arguable the most frightening thing for british bombers. . . its was not smurfy, it was a sleek, twin engined, glass roofed, sensor studded, hypre-specilized killing machine - and I would have to change my sig and go totally luft to fly them all the time. . . as a kid, it was the 88G that first got me really interested in WWII planes.
i remember when I first loaded AH2, i went to the 88 first, and I was quite dissapointed to say the least. Even if we don't have night fighting, I think it would still make a great bomber killer.
