i didn't installed 1.03 'cuz i'm i nwork now, but i have a question:
if celeron 366, 64mb ram and savage3d4 (32mb) 'll be enought for 1.03?
as i heard some peoples having problemn with FR  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

i've K6-2 350mhz  64Mo RAM
voodoo2 8Mo

30fps  1.03 seems work fine for me

PII 333, TNT2 Ultrs 32mb vid card.

All is well. Till I get around smoke from burning buildings. Then the FPS hit the toilet.

Suppose this is a joke... With that configuration you cant get more than 10 fps into a landed B17 and 1024x768 16bpp. A month ago I was using K6-2 400 + 2 V2 SLI (12 Mb) and 128 PC100, the peak performance with P51 frontal view (no furball) was 36 fps 1024x764 16bpp. With actual smoke and clouds the average performance of K6-2 350 + single V2 8Mb should be about 4 fps and, perhaps, a peak performance of 20 fps with no clouds, no smoke and no other plane in front of you.

i'm at home now but can't play to check it by myself, but in off-line mode it's about 25-30fps, but nothing smoking here...i'll check it later

bike killa,
Try this:

Get a B26 out of base A-20.
Fly to the fuel refinery nearby.
Kill ack carefully, and them bomb every fuel tank you can.
Watch your FR suddenly drop to 1fps as the smoke rises  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
