Title: disable offline drones?

Is there any way to disable offline drones? Looked thru the arena setup but did not see.

Not that I know of.

But there are two little things you can do if you find them to be annoying: Switch to Knights - the drones are alway Knight and so ack won't fire at them anymore. And you can then replace all the planes by tanks.

Just set each offline drone to "gun ship or field".

Take off from a Bish or Rook base, then (when airborne) change base ownership to Knights. That way you can takeoff safely, but do not have to fly to another sector... and being Knight themselves, the drones won't be shot at.

This doesn't happen, if you're talking about the drone AI pilots, as opposed to the normal field ack.  :)


I also set them to guns, so I don't have to listen to the engine sounds, and they do NOT fire. Same as they don't fire if you put them in the GVs, only now they're silent as well as invisible.

You'll need to switch countries, or switch the fields ownership if you want to venture near a (enemy) field without the AI ack.
