Title: Special Events/Scenario MOTD
Post by: ozrocker on October 03, 2010, 11:44:06 AM
I would like to see a MOTD to remind us of Special Events or Scenarios that are taking place on the day it applies. I know it's done on 200, but usually I'm in a fight at the time, or involved in other stuff and by the time I'm done it's too late to join.
Often, I forget or find out too late that the event I was interested in has started, and of course I'm locked out.
IMO a MOTD, or other remider would be beneficial for many.
Opinions? Flames? Hijacks? Let'em rip :rofl

HT may not want to take the time to update that, we have a lot of events.

Although there is a special events calender at www.ahevents.org that you can use to mark down dates, even has links to what will be happening.

First its your job to keep track of events you'd like to participate in.
Second if your in a squadron its your CO's job unless he delegates someone.

Third we have the new annoucement channel, so you can actually go fly, and be told about events in advance!

In a related item, thanks to the efforts of 68Raptor, the CM CO, we have the weekly (link) Special Events Announcements (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/board,62.0.html) back.

HT would not have to do it. It could be done by a CM, on the day of the event(s). Usually what happens now is the channel 200 broadcast (which a lot don't monitor), then someone from
everyone's squad jumps in to each arena, to grab people right before the event starts.
It would probably have a positive impact for event turnout.
