Why not add plane contrails for flights at high altitudes?

i'd love em but imagine the problems for comps with low end graphics
-
well would if you could turn them on/off

Widely discussed topic, still +1 for them.

Yeah, I have only flown 1 with you guys and we didnt have ANY resistance what so ever. I guess 8-10 formations with pony/lightning escorts really dampers peoples spirits!

:rofl seems to happen alot lately...

contrails and high g trails - both would be really great and add a lot of eye candy to furballs.
to be honest, cheap computers (like 400 dollar desktops) are good enough to handle anything that Ah2 has to offer and can do more - and honestly - if you are using a computer that is worth less then 400 dollars, then you should not be playing fps style dogfighting sims. I know there is an argument against setting the standards too high, but setting the standards to th lowest of the lowest computers is also equally idiotic.

+1 to this!
-
I'd enjoy to see this implemented. +1 from me.
But I see Chalenge having an issue with it. :airplane:

People may dismiss this but I think aces high should move to consoles. I have a PS3 and I use it also as desktop gaming. Use Sony's free PSN network to deliver free-to-download aces high. Latest generations of consoles such as PS3. These consoles have development life-cycle of more than 10 years now. No one has yet to really stress PS3's computing and graphics capabilities.
I'm willing to bet that PS3 can go as far as 15 years. If Sony does make a PS4, I think it would be just an upgraded PS3 with just more system/graphics memory and lower power consumption. Sony's a genius for setting a new trend in this regard.

Looking at HTC's player base, this would be a terrible idea.

No thank you.

that's what radiator damage is for :lol
but seriously though
A BIG +1

NO.....Snailman can see us from 20 sectors away now :x
-
if AH2 goes PS3, i am not gonna buy a PS3 to play it. which means i will not be playing it anymore. I think a lot of people will agree with me here.
I also think its pretty crazy to think that the PS 3 console will stay viable compaired to computers for even 3 years or so, let alone 10.

Would have been cool ... However, too many planes at the same time will mess up the graphics, I think.
-
I still support this brilliant idea. :aok +2

You don't want to fly into my contrail. You never know what I've had for dinner. (http://images.zaazu.com/img/fart-fart-gas-gross-smiley-emoticon-000602-facebook.gif) :neener:

Would say good idea if my computer was little (as in alot) faster.

Plus one on this.
And in regards to ThundrEgg and his 82nd buddies, if you look into the sun just to the left a bit. You will see our Spitfires diving on your sorry butts, be afraid, be very afraid.
The contrails will show us where you are. That will be fun :devil

First off, you'd need really good flight controls. Second, the rest of that is just spouting PR nonsense. PCs have already flown past both the 360 and PS3 in power, and the biggest development issue for these consoles isn't the CPU / graphics power, it's the physical memory you have for textures and things that severely limits being able to throw content at it. "No one has yet to really stress PS3's computing and graphics capabilities", heh.

Your 38's are targets!
Very pretty targets, one of such targets I donated a months allowance to my museum for the cause of a rebuild and have got a pic of it
(http://www.abc.net.au/reslib/200811/r318231_1413658.jpg)
But nevertheless, they still are very big airframes, and their engines are perfectly spaced for a Spitfires convergance.
My allowance paid for an ammo box and belt, seen in the gun mounting, the first one from the right.

Hehe, very cool! :aok

Don't think FR would be an issue...I could play FS2004 fine with all those clouds and contrails w/no studders fine on my old laptop...512mb ram, single core Pentium M.

You might enjoy some of the pics in this thread taken during work on that plane. Wish the game had a 38H too. :)

:aok ONLY if able to turn them off. I dont want to engauge 20 cons at 25k and have my system take dump cause I couldn't render.
Would make finding a bomber easier.

Here is a good one.
Taken from the John 'Jake' Hendrix Collection
This photo was taken from a B-17 crew member, a friend of Jake's. The 'single' contrails in the center of the photo are enemy fighters attacking the B-17 formation. The 'double contrails' belong to P-38s from the 82nd FG, engaging the enemy planes.

Contrails for a complete, undamaged flight of buffs above 20K +1
After loss, damage, or below 20K -1

Yeah, that made me chuckle too.
