The answer is quite simple,he'd say"the walrus is Paul!"

He may have meant John Lennon, but you never know. We could ask Pawl Makartni and Rinko?

Not much different I think to what he was saying when he was alive. You have to wonder though what other great music we might have now though.

Return of the living dead?

You sicko.

Did someone associate John Lennon with great music? :headscratch: I must be on the wrong planet.
-
If he were alive today I would be hard pressed to be able to procure a spare rodent posterior to present to him. I'd be even less concerned with his opinion on anything as well. I don't miss him a bit.
:huh

AHHh Yeah. You must be to young to remember the Beatles.
-
A great example of musical synergy, the cult of celebrity, and the unilateral belief in non-violence.

got butthurt over his pro-peace stance?

What would anybody who has been dead for three decades have to say? John Lennon's opinion is no more valuable than any other person's.

True but no one would care about yours or mine.

True enough but I don't care about Lennon's either. :D

Pro-peace is fine when you're a zillionaire living in an exclusive area in New York...not so much when you live in any number of European towns and cities which are slowly moving to Sharia law. I worshiped him when I was a kid (I was 20 when he died) As I grew older, I realized it's easy to to have his view of the world and pontificate on the wrongs of our society, when all you've got to do all day is press a button and have people bring you food and whiskey. It's also easy to dump your wife and kid (Julian spent ZERO time with him in his formative years) and hang out with some weird Japanese chick if you're a famous zillionaire (the woman MUST have some talents which don't show up on wikipedia) I still think much of George Harrison, very little of John

The better question is who would care what this acid tripper drug addict would have say...?
John Lennon's opinion falls in the same ballpark as John Stewart's opinion or commentary today...
COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT...
The verbal utterances of Lennon have ZERO bearing on human history...
Can someone explain to me to why the dribble that might have leaked out of Lennon's mouth has any importance whatsoever?
I didn't think so...
Hey Jude...
How profound...

Bob Wooler would disagree.

"Hey Jude" was a McCartney song.

All we are saying is give peace a chance

Cept that the lyrics for "Hey Jude" were written by McCartney.
Oh and about the same number who would care as what you would have to say.
Actually probably more....
Even if he weren't famous

Nope not a bit. Didn't like his music, his politics or his choice of women but I never paid much attention to any of it unless the media forced me to while watching other parts of the news. I don't put mere entertainers up on any pedestal or think their opinions carry any weight. As far as I am concerned, he didn't do much of anything that really mattered and IMO the world didn't change for the worse when he died, same for elvis, janis joplin, johny cash or marylin monroe.
Apparently anyone who doesn't share your juvenile hero worship of entertainers bothers you. Tough, get over it.

Well said Mav...
The hero worship or popularity cult reminds me of a November about two years ago...
