Title: Head room
Post by: Clone155 on October 11, 2010, 01:24:20 AM
I thought that one of the updates were supposed to give us the ability to move our head freely around the cockpit until we hit the glass? Why then do we have things like this?

P47M

Typhoon

It seems like almost all the American Fighters don't have as much head room as the Typhoon (P38s, P47s, P51s). Please give them more head room  :aok

I've observed on a number of allied craft that one can easily manipulate the pilots head outside of the canopy. Although, I would not mind it if I could look a bit further below my 109's nose...

The frame is not the cockpit bubble.

The frame is not the cockpit bubble.

Indeed. But look at it like this.
Typhoon

P47M

Since the frame is not the cockpit bubble, then it looks like the P47 should have MORE upward head movement than the Typhoon, but that is not the case.

Oops I meant to say canopy bubble.   ;)

I think you're correct. I don't know if the P-47 is too low but it seems the Typhoon is too high.
