Title: Aww dangit
Post by: USRanger on October 12, 2010, 10:55:09 PM
Mission editor is out of date again with today's game patch.  MS error on start up.  Just passing the word along.  Dang, I was right in the middle of my first mission is awhile too.  Hopefully an M.E. patch isn't too far behind. :pray

Ugh!

I haven't yet installed the latest patch. So now I'm wondering if my new "PeabodySimple" mission will still work if I upgrade. If it does, then perhaps I (we) can still write working missions by retaining both versions (one for editing, one for flying). Anybody know?

Regards,

They fixed the mission editor with patch 2.21.3. Now, after upgrading both the front-end and the mission editor to 2.21.3, mission code that worked with 2.21.0 can be compiled and flown with 2.21.3, yielding the same results.

bbosen  :)

Thx ever so much for the offline instructions & "simplex04" game,
enjoying it immensely ... no problems whatsoever ... way to go  :aok

Have a question, if I wish to change planes (allies & axis) from, par example, a p38l to spitfire 16, where do I find the necessary numeric code designating what value each aircraft has?

I listed the pgm but notice the SAME numeric code utilized for the friendly & axis, how do u do that, where'd u specify the plane codes?

Once again thx for the Offline Simplex, well done & explained.

I'm glad you enjoyed the mission. Others have also been asking how to change aircraft in that mission, and I've published a detailed answer in this thread:

I hope it helps!
