Title: AH will not start
Post by: Bino on October 14, 2010, 07:42:17 PM
A small pop-up window entitled "ERROR" displays this message:

    Initialization failed with -9
    mainWLD_FAILED -1

Fixed it by
1.) renaming "settings" to "porked-settings"
and
2.) re-installing right over the old install

Still curious about that error message, though...   :headscratch:

It means the game executable cannot find the resources to start the game.  Usually from being moved to the desktop, instead of a shortcut being created to it.

Easy fix is to simply install the full version of the game over the top of the existing installation without removing the old installation.
