I feel the color or contrast could be a bit more defined on the town buildings and air field runways, this could help identify them better from the air. I find my self having to zoom in most times to see if a building is up or down or there at all and landing on the runways is fine when I'm up close but depending on angle of approach and distance I also find myself zooming in to see it better definition too. I don't know if anyone else notices this or not but it has been this way since the last big update.

I noticed it right away, and have adapted and accepted it. Did most WWII airbases have nice black asphalt and bright white paint to mark the runways? Things are fine the way they are now.

I can agree with the base side of it. I actually like the natural looking bases these dayz. But the buildings in town could perhaps have a charred black to it's surfaces from smoke/explosion/debris materials I think and it would help the younger buffers quite a bit. I regularly bomb lately at 25k, unless there is cloud cover, I can pretty much make out the difference fast. But we must remember that the game needs to be easy to understand for the average subscriber. :aok

Agree with Llogan, it can be hard to see which town buildings are down and which are up.
Bigger color change, more flames, a thread of smoke, something would be nice.

Although it would probably kill most people graphically, smoke emanating from a destroyed town building (aka, the small house fire), would be a nice touch.
However, like I said, it would probably kill the frame rates of the average player.

What is the problem with zooming in? I also zoom in to see if buildings in town are up. Even from 30k it seems to be quite effective.

<hijack disclaimer :D > Smok'n guns!! I had wished for the AA guns to do this a while back to help identify if they were down. With limited head movement in fighters zooming in and scanning a large area for these objects, requires luck mostly. By that I mean, by the time I spot the manned ack, I am lucky if I am not missing parts.
<back to the contrast issue at hand> I had hoped that shadows on buildings (seems to be a new option for graphics detail) would help in contrasting viable targets. Has anyone noticed any better SA using this option?

Not sure how "accurate" it is, but giving the town buildings red roofs (clay shingles?) that blew apart when the building was destroyed would likely make it much, much easier to discern.

The new towns and bases have definitely amped up difficulty and are a welcome addition.
The contrast issue seems valid to me also though. The guns and buildings are especially hard to tell
live from dead. Probably half the reason is that my eyes are 50+ years old but I'm not the only
old geezer still taking a crack at it. :old:

Yes, maybe so OOZ, but not all the roofs have red clay shingles. Some town buildings have gray rooftops. :D Notice my attempt at showing contrast here?
Every single building in town must be destroyed..... soooo...... < off to another hijack > Would HTC ever consider an airfield base capture system that didn't work off this premise (town must be nuked before 10 drunks can find a way to detonate the enemy's maproom) ? < mild attempt at sarcasm, but no disrespect to the folks that have brought us this much fun and are constantly working to progress in new ways :salute
