Title: Asking Again...
Post by: Tazz69 on October 16, 2010, 12:50:14 PM
I am asking again that HTC consider the addition on the Panzer Mk V (Panther). I was a very widely used tank on the eastern and western fronts during the war, and would be a great addition the AH. Also, I've heard others request puffy ack at the bases or towns, while we do have 37mm ack guns on the bases, I think it would be great to add a couple of puffy acks at the bases, possibly a multipurpose/versatile gun like the 88mm Flak/Pak gun, used as a AA gun AND a AGV gun.

No way. It's bad enough having to deal with manned & auto puffy at CVs.

Towns used to have puffy ack.  Bring it back.

Pnzr V, yes
puffy ack, no. . . honestly, pople run back to ack cover enough as it is and you ned to build considerable numbers and make multiple runs to take out the ack as it is, making it puffy would make that harder.

I wouldn't mind a couple of manned puffy guns on a base, make for some fun. Couple of 88mm guns as dual purpose, in lieu of the 17lbrs. perhaps...

What I would like to see are the 37mm base acks replaced with the more common 40mm single Bofor gun.

While the 37mm was never really phased out of service during WW2, the 40mm single barrel Bofor was far more common, and a much better weapon.

Depends on country. 37mm was the standard in Germany for example. And our bases are not modeled after any particular country.

yeah, so we get the best of both worlds in AH, 37mm guns that look like 40mm Bofors, happy now  :D

Dual Purpose 88s on air bases would come in handy to deal with gv's rolling on the field.  However, versus aircraft, the AAA wouldn't be puffy unless you set the fuse.  No proximity fuses on the 88.

Well Nate, if you didn't fly through it at 225mph straight and level, it might not be as much of a problem.  :airplane:

Just as a note, only the mannable guns on the fields are 37mm singles. The auto acks are quad 20mm, though there are a few that appear to be glitched and only fire one round per "salvo."
