I am going to have a new system built.

What are the best combination of componets to optimise AH?

I would think that the biggest performance increases are going to come from your video card and processor.

A new system probably should be at least a 1.4GHZ or higher and a GeFORCE2 Ultra or higher. Anything with that and your going to have no worries with AH performance. If you want specific component names I can give you some but I think that it's pretty much a preference with the rest.

no kidding ; i put 512mb in my PC (1Ghz AMD Athlon & Geforce2 MX) when the memory-prices went down and everything just runs smoother ...

Ok what is the best MB to use with a T-bird 1.4 and what would be the best vid card to use with this combo?

I am planning on 512 of RAM.

My personal choice would be the Abit KG-7 either Lite or RAID depending on what you want to do, and a Visiontek GeForce 3 ti500
