Said it before. Will say it again. One of the most heavily used versions in WW2 needs included here in Aces High.

Chuck Norris Approved.
Karnak Disapproved.
How about the G4M or the He-11 before adding another US bomber.
-
Not that hard to accomplish...
Remove chin turret. Unstagger waist guns positions. Remove Cheyenne tail turret.
-
Really could use a early war era B-17 for the special events.

Speak for yourself. I've advocated for the B-17E or F whenever it comes up.
-
Sorry, that's really a B17G mocked up to look like a B17F :)
For purely historical reasons the F would be a nice addition as it did see PTO use, North Africa etc.

Then I retract my comment, proceed.
Although I do think we should get the G4M and maye the He-111 before this one, though.

Actually, I'd really like to see HTC finish up their remodel of all AH-1 graphics plane set before moving on to adding more of anything.

Yep. Also note the non-protruding plexiglass for the cheek guns.

Wish granted. Have a look at the AH front page! :aok
EDIT:: Oh, +1 for more toys for EGG and his boys!

Really, guys...
But, while I'm guilty now as well...
The B17F was produced in far greater numbers (512 of the "E" versus 3405 of the "F") with a number of improvements. I felt this would be a better "middle of the road" allied bomber more suited for time-frame scenarios & such, although just because it played a big role in the war, I'd fly it in the main as well, despite it's shortcomings that resulted in the production of the "G". ;)

I like

well no sense in makeinga new thread when search feature will pull up thread on same subject.
-
The B17F and B24D BOTH need to be added. I'd like to think it wouldn't be all that time consuming to remove turrets but I am not a "coader".

:salute All!
As I stated in my thread: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,339059.0.html
The B-17E/F would be a great addition to Aces High 2. The B-17E in the Early War, and the B-17F
in the Mid/Late War.
The B-17E was extensively modified and improved version of the B-17D. The B-17E Tail section was totaly redesign,
a Tail Gunner positon was added, the waist gunner windows were redesign from the Teardrop to a larger rectangular shaped windows.
The bathtub turret was replaced by a Bendix remote-controlled and remote sighted Belly Turret. The Bendix turret was replaced by a
Sperry Ball Turret on the 113th production B-17E. The Bendix Turret was added to the Top forward fuselage.
The B-17E was in production from 5 Sept, 1941 to May 28, 1942. 512 B-17E were produced.
The B-17E was the first USAAF Bomber to fly the first bombing mission in Europe. This Mission was carried out by the 97th Bomb Group
on Aug.17, 1942 agaisnt the Rouen-Sotteville rail road Marshalling yards in France.
The B-17F started May 30, 1942. The improvements and modification to the B-17F, increased armament to 11 .50 cal. machine guns,
including the frontal protection in the form of Cheek guns. Increased of the internal bomb bay to double the bomb load from 4,000 lb's to
8,000 lb's. More powerful engines, four Wright R-1829-97 turbo-supercharged radials, 1200 hp each. Improved Propellers.
The nose section was changed from the frame plexiglas like the B-17E had to a one piece plexiglas. The B-17F started to arrive in the Europe
Theater Of Operation in Oct. 1942.
So I really agree 100% for the B-17E/F model to be included in Aces High 2.
