Does it really make a difference? What are the clear advantages for having a deticated throttle vice the throttle wheel on the JS? For those of you that have changed to a throttls recently, can you feel any difference? Does it increase your control, better re-action, better throttle response. Basically, do you fly better?
Plus, adding a dedicated throttle, any difficulties in setting it up? Heard there were problems in set-up. Thanks! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I fly with a CH Combatstick now!

The throttle not only gives you a dedicated thorttle but makes vertually all sticks programable. So you get more buttons at your finger tips.

Can you say "hands off the keyboard"? Well, not quite yet, still have to type on channel sometimes. Buttons, buttons and more buttons, that's wehre it's at!

PS Unless you are looking to save money and pick one up on Ebay or something, wait for the USB Pro Throttle to go along with your Combatstick (if it's possible to use analog with it). USB is SO much better. My USB Pro Pedals are even more stable and precise than my Hoffman Simpeds with the PDPI L4 were!

More buttons...... also got "game commander" so got voice commands.... good for flaps, gear, icons, etc. Have x35(or 36?) from saitek....very happy...still suck though...must be the monitor...

Swager, my pink plastic dress wearing friend, its all in the buttons.
Switched from MS FFP to the Saitek X-36 USB Combo and CH Pedals...its great, all of those buttons, translates into quicker control at your fingertips and you don't have to take your eyes of the monitor to find that right key.

One thing I thought about but, have never really paid attention to see if it's true. If you have your fire buttons on the throttle there would be less of a chance of jerking the site off target when you fired. Compaired to having it on the joystick.
