Going to upgrade my vid card from a TNT2 Model 64 to a gForce2 GTS 32mb next week and was wondering if I will see a significant FR increase?
System:
PIII 800
Asus CSLU-2 MB
192mg PC100 ram
If anybody has a similar system could you post what your frame rates are for the tower, cockpit and CV/furballs?
TIA,
Lars

Note that my MoBo does not support 4x AGP like yours does. I'd expect you to do better.

Yes, you will see quit an increase, however I just bought botha V5 5500 and Geforce2 GTS to try them both and take the other back, i ended up keeping the V5 because its FSAA looks MUCH nicer than the geforce's and if I dont use it i can still get 1600x1200 at around 55fps
Im running athlon 800 with 128mb pc-133 ram
NOTE: the geforce DID give me higher fps without the FSAA but it wasnt enough to make up for its poor FSAA.

Your framerate will improve a lot.

Your framerate will improve, a LOT.
I am running a GeForce2 GTS 32mb (in a Duron 1ghz, 256mb PC133)
Running at 1024x768x32bit 4x FSAA and my framerate is a constant 50; it goes down flying thru smoke.
I had a Voodoo5 before but I had awful stuttering. It doesnt happen to everyone but a few people experience it. It happens in AH and a few other games. Its not a Framerate issue, but stuttering. Weird.
As for the FSAA, I did not notice difference between the two cards. Maybe the V5 looks better, but frankly, you really have to squint to notice it.
