the kill shot was not a HO, was a good shot actually. However, you did take a shot on the initial merge ............................. ..........

The initial merge was a HO, you did everything you could to try and shoot him in the face, even pulled the trigger. Once you had lost the angle for the HO due to the other guy avoiding the ho, you flew it well and got off a good shot by getting over the top above him with a bit more "E".

simple rule of thumb.....

if you find yourself asking if it was a HO, then whether it was or it wasnt just appologize for it and go back to having a good time!

You did try and HO the guy, some people are probably thinking 'but the other guys guns aren't on me so it can't be a ho' well thats because he has to go around you to avoid a collison on the merge, you should respect his decision not to ram into you and have a fight and hold fire on the merge. Both planes looking for seperation advantage leading up to a merge is a good indicator there will be no HOs.

The 50-60 mph advantage as you merge makes this type of fight a pretty easy one for you so no need to attempt a HO.  :salute

Very true.  But in this down economy folks are cutting back on luxuries and just getting the bare essentials.  Gotta tone down the high-end HOs until things improve.  Then it is okay to go back to $400 / hr HOs.   :neener:
