We, in these modern times have no clue how easy we have it.

That is one war I am glad I did not have to partake in for a multitude of reasons.

Nice site. I personally believe the Civil War was a war of fools fought by idiots, but the history of it all is fascinating.

I am more of a western frontier/ scout.  Sometimes, me and others, are a detached unit out of Kansas.

Ah, cool. Farthest out west battle I have attended was Shiloh a few years back. Was the most fun event I had. Except I still think I got a slight dose of frostbite. Couldnt feel my toes for like a week!  :D

Hey DEECON, where in Eastern NC?

Little town called New Bern.

I got ya, not too little of a town compared to Newport and Havelock.  Been through New Bern many, many times when I was stationed at Cherry Point, and one of my buddies that I gave a ride to every day from work lived off of MLK behind the shopping center with Furniture Liquidators and Dollar General.
