The big question from me is this...IS a helmet really gonna help at all when you screw up and jam yourself up against the mountain or into a tall fir tree on the side of a mountain? Guess not but it looks cool anyway.

Nooo Reschke , The helmet is just to hold the Gopro camera to get a video of when he , he , well you know the rest .

He is the man, you should look for his life story, it's pretty crazy how he ended up where he is. He is planning to land a wingsuit without a chute on a giant ramp at some point, i read.

Reminds me of Yves Rossy. He flys using home-built wings with 4 miniature turbine jet engines attached to it which he then straps to his back. Fully powered flight. He does not use control surfaces on the wings, but rather, he uses the formation of his body to steer the craft.
