Not to mention the naughty Korean or Danish films...

typical SBS line up: Inspector Rex, A doco about the Waffen SS, A replay of the 1954 world cup Austria vs. Uruguay 3rd place match, The Latvian news, Rockwiz, and then some Chinese Kung Fu movie or a Belgium film about the life of some 17 year old in the 50's and her dog

Heheh, we get a full dose of CSI/NY/Miami/LA//Scranton/Boise, Simpsons/Family Guy/American Dad/Futurama, Bones/House/Scrubs/etc/etc/etc/etc/ad infinitum/ad nauseam on the other channels.

All for free, no cable fees if you don't want to.

Get some locally-produced "stuff" and some good documentaries as well. We tend to watch SBS in our house for the Japanese news, McNeill-Lehrer, Global Village (human-interest stuff from around the world, for the kiddie), evening news (best one going, has editors / contributors in places beyond the boundaries of western Sydney) and some damn funny comedies (Pizza/Swift & Shift/Shameless).

Plus, as I say, naughty flicks from around the world, with all sorts of excitement to while away the lonely nights.

Until you've watched Good News Week, you've never seen the full potential of Australian TV.
