White 15, this is the best picture I could find, It says that Kozhendub flew this plane, but I have also seen the same plane/camo scheem coded "white 14" so i am not sure which is acurate,
either way, think it is a neat skin and is a change of pace from the normal light gray/dark gray camo for La-5's
would greatly appriciate anyone doing this skin
thanks

The only white 14 La-FN Kozhendub flew looks slightly different and was paid for by donations from farm worker Vasiliy V. Konev.

The brown camo is wrong for an La-5FN, that aircraft should be two tone grey. There is no evidence that the VVS ever used a brown colour on that aircraft. The reason there are profiles showing that scheme is down to artists not having access to Soviet colour info during the cold war. Other artists later copied the first artists' work rather than doing proper research. La-5s and some La-5Fs were painted in the earlier green and black scheme and a few La-7s were painted in a monotone grey scheme, otherwise most radial Las and all the La-5FNs were the two tone grey scheme.
BTW the no 15 aircraft was flown by Pyotr Likholetov and is the default La-5FN skin. I may skin the Kozhedub's aircraft when I get time though.

I have seen a few La-7 schemes with the green camo.
Edit: Looking around the web for a pic but can't find may just have to scan it in the morn.
Also some of the naval arm La-7s look awesome

The green and black summer camo was used becaus the factorys making planes used to make tractors, and that was the color of the tractor, thanks for the info though, I did not realise that no La-5FN had "woodland" camo

Would this tractor co. be John Deer?lol
-
no john deer is a lighter green :P
I assume the factorys would be making STZ, HTZ, and ATZ tractors

Not a color picture but is this the same No 15 you are talking about?

no, I forgot the name of the pilot of that plane, but it is an early La-5, with out the M-82FN engine and the fuselage isnt cut back for the improved cannopy, IMO that skin alone is reason enough to have and early La-5 in the game :D

We have a la-5f skin on the la5fn already star itself on that skin is a give away to the time it was painted. The star has no boarder which changed mid-war to the star with the bold outline.
But they wont let us have the la-5 dragon mouth skin so lame.

yeah its pretty dissapointing :( I belive one of the pilots refered to it as "too ugly to be a shark, more like a wide mouth bass" :lol

Wouldn't hurt to knock out his La-7 while you're at it. :D
PLEASE! :pray
