I can't get any plane to spin around on a dime....except this one :D

I noticed that only your left engine was running

that's happened to me trying to land when one engine goes out... Maybe duel throttle this case..?

I believe only your left engine was on and you had your right brake in

Because you don't know what you're doing in the P-38. It's easy to get it to turn on a dime if you use the toe brakes, turn off an engine and apply rudder.
ack-ack

Yeah everyone can, and I've done it in a 38, mossy, B26, B25, and alot of other twins. You can do it in a 4 engine as well.

I understand it would be able (with really good brakes) to turn around it's wheel, but how would it turn around it's center?

Easy to do in a 38 junkell.

I was expecting some wickedly awesome turns from a 262. I was a little disappointed. I wish my tiger's turret could turn that fast.
