i used Fraps, recorded directy out of my cockpit, using track ir, the film could be also named the black hole..... using rangersounds and added some explosions to add attraction, bringing ppl in to fly AH2  :salute

ok...i guess i'll hafta mess with fraps a lil more. i tried it(the frebie version) and dropped from my normal 75fps to 35fps. my old computer ran at 35, and i had no trouble playing on that....but when this dropped me to 35, it would have been unplayable in a fight.

Well, you don't need more that 30fps for video anyway.   :D

You can always try having Fraps record half-size and see if that hits your FPS as much.

just tried that....switched it to 30fps on fraps, and went half size. only dropped me into the 59-60 fps range. i can take that. that was offline mode though.....i'll try online later.........if it comes out looking good, i may actually have to get the paid version.

What did the Fraps frame counter say while in-game?  Recording at 30fps with live running 60fps might look weird played back.

When I have Fraps force me to 30fps, that's what it says in-game (although I didn't Ctl-i the game to see what it thought the frame rate was).

the fraps frame counter read the same as the ingame counter. i always leave the ingame counter up, unless i'm bombing something.

when i played it back, it looked perfect, but showed the fraps counter in the avi it saved at 30.

i didn't choose the lock framerate option. i did leave the record vista sound option and stereo options checked too.

Cool, gonna link it up for AvA video of the week.

That will buy me some time to work up some player submitted ones for following weeks!

Did you still have Fraps running during playback?  If so, it's showing the frame rate of your media player.  :aok
Fraps doesn't record its own counter.
