Yep, did a bang up job of that at the The Battle of Isandlwana.
Zulu Dawn was a good movie though, definitely showed them who was boss at Rorke's Drift.
ack-ack

"Hurt Locker" or "Battle of the Bulge"
-
By far "Kelly's Hero's"

At least we stole their diamonds for the next hundred years what did you get chilli peppers :old:

Fun Fact: The P-51 that saved them had markings that would have meant it was in the PTO. (May be wrong)

I couldn't tell what their unit markings were. But they do have Invasion Stripes.
-
yes Das Boot #1 pity it was about Russian submariners instead of Allied ones :old:

It also managed to bomb the Tiger with no bomb shackles onboard :D

By far "Kelly's Hero's"
Agreed, it also has one of the better theme songs, "Burning Bridges" of any war movie.

It looked like a 78th FG Pony to me. That would make it 8th AF.
-
Russian? :huh
Yeah, sneaky Russians with German accents :D Well heck, we were expected to believe
that Latvians had Welsh accents in the Hunt for Red Oktober :lol
-
DAS BOOT is very good subtitles is needed you need German accents :x
DOWNFALL was very good as well did not like the suprise ending though :old:
-
A Bridge to Far was pretty good. Kelly's Hero's wins by far though.

Forgot about Zulu Dawn...my Grandpa made me watch it when I was like 10 lol, helluva "This is War Kid" kind of moment.
And havent been on the forums in awhile so didnt know that this was recently posted...sorry.

I cant believe I didnt mention Kelly's Heroes...this was a movie that at one time my mother had to pay over 100 dollars in late fees because I watched it everyday for 2 MONTHS STRAIGHT. Burning Bridges is a great song. "They all tried to warn me but I guess I didnt care...I turned my back and left them standing there....da da da duh duh duh duh!"

Or that The Red Army had English Accents in "Enemy at the Gates"

No votes for Where Eagles Dare? How can you not love the John Woo dual MP's wielded by Clint?
-
"Men In War"
-
Wow, WAY too many to list all of them, but I'll give it my best shot.
In no particular order:
Das Boot
Joyeux Noel
Flags of our Fathers
Band of Brothers & The Pacific (miniseries technically, but I consider it a movie)
Black Hawk Down
Glory
The Hurt Locker

forget it he's rolling ;)

Also,
Force 10 from Navarone! :aok

Also,
Force 10 from Navarone! :aok
No, Force 10 from Navarone should not be considered one of the top war movies...it was a decent action flick, not a good war movie. A good war movie would be the movie it was a sequal to, The Guns of Navarone.
ack-ack

I thought this was a good movie, although I'm not in a rush to see it again.

You are wrong :) Shoulda been Jugs though and the 51 was in 78th FG markings which did not have 51s at the time but Jugs. D-Day stripes were correct and I believe the second 51 was in 352nd FG Markings Lady Helen which is an actual combat vet from WW2 but not D-Day.
-
Battleground
Kelly's Heros
Air Force
-
Whether it's the greatest can be debated, but I have to throw "Tae Guk GI' out there. Definitely among my favorite war movies of all time.
If you haven't heard of it (which, I'm sure you haven't), it's a Korean-made movie about the Korean war. Best viewed in the original language with English subtitles, seeing/hearing it in English first kinda takes away from the emotion felt the first time through.
-
Stalingrad - 1993 German film.

Well, that is your opinion and I will hold to mine. :aok
Also, cant believe I forgot Gods and Generals and Gettysburg!

"Full Metal Jacket"
"the Hurt Locker"
no votes for "We Were Soldiers"?
