I should recieve my hardware new MB, CPU, HD, etc.. and want to get started building and installing. I was going to D/L the 4 in 1 drivers to have ( I am using Win2K SP2 for an OS) but the page (http://www.viahardware.com/download/index.shtm#4in1) has many versions to D/L. Do I just D/L the latest version?
new system spec's--
Epox 8KHA+
Athlon XP1600
Win2k SP2
Geforce2MX 32MB
512MB DDR RAM
IDE HD
IDE CDROM

Thats what I did ammo and have had zero problems. I think each is just a minor improvement on the former. Piece of cake to install too :)
Good luck!

I think the newest is the 4.35s, I'd just get them.

nother question, looking at the MB manual, it states that teh default jumper setting for the CPU Host clock select is 100MHz, but I can set it at 133MHz. Which shopuld I use if I am using PC2100 RAM?

100

Your new CPU is a Athlon XP 1600 right? Use 133 MHz for bus speed with a 10.5x multiplier. Read this (http://support.crucial.com/scripts/crucial.exe/solution?11=010612-0004&130=000992366697&14=&2715=&15=&2716=&57=faq&58=&2900=&25=-1) down where it explains PC2100--use 133MHz.

TY sir :) So I just set the jumper in the 133 position and no other action by me is needed?

dunno man, you check the manual? I was going to look and help ya out, but epox is hosting their website on a 56k line or something and the manual won't be done downloading until sometime tomorrow. :D
