Why are people so serious about this game?
In Example:
Player1: You have got shot down by player 2
Player2: (Private Message to Player 1)WTF, How did you...No way BS...That was a BS shot freaking cheater
Player1: (Private Message to Player 2) lol
etc etc.

Yeah I get mad sometimes(Not as bad as most people in the game), but most of the times I am joking around with someone and they get all offended on me and go crazy. I just don't get it. :old:
Anyone have an explanation as to why people may do this?

I only biatch on range, like "Hey man, wtf u doing chasing the plane on my six" "No check" "WTF"

Probably because they put to much importance on winning. I used to get annoyed when I used to get shot down, but I always keep it in squad channels or to myself. IMO if anyone ever gets too annoyed, it's time for them to Alt+F4 and do something else for a while.

Same reason why a person will cry "HO!" when someone shoots them down from the dead six position. It's easier to claim there was something 1) wrong with the game 2) the other guy cheated 3) the other guy HO'd/picked/vulched 4) 1, 2 and 3, than admit that the person died because they were either out flown or out fought. A bruised ego is a funny thing.

Ignorance is the only logical explanation. Anything else is merely an excuse.

I don't get pissed about losing so much as I get pissed about having to climb back to alt and back to the fight.

The one PM I got from Pluto a few years ago cracked me up. Claimed I was using a Check 6 hack that would make him blow up everytime he checked 6 when I was behind him. I tried to explain that it was in fact bursts from my guns that was causing his plane to explode but he insisted I was using a cheat instead.

Serious lack of attention to real life priorities perhaps?
If you can't 'win' at life at least you can be a 'uber pilet'?
Not saying I haven't been PO'ed in this game but getting 'killed' is my fault and due to either 1) my ineptitude or 2) facing off against a superior 'pileit'.
It's fun but it's not real life.

Bluntly put, there are a lot of guys in online gaming who think they are a heck of a lot better than they actually are.
I think a good deal of the BS and cheat calls stem from the fact that people also think they know a lot more about their opponents' E states, the profile they're presenting to the enemy to shoot at, and ACM than they actually do. Guys that don't understand how the 'slower' plane caught them even though it just came out of a dive and cut the corner as they made a predictable, e-bleeding turn are a good example of this kind of thinking.
Or, as someone (Hitech?) once said, 'There is a certain percentage of the playerbase that feels the need to explain away their suckitude.' or words to that effect.

The way people behave in here, is exactly the same as they behave out there. The GAME, has nothing to do with it.

Ego and Ignorance have caused far more whines and complaints than any fight model ever built.
