This is why time runs forwards and not backwards.... you WW2 pukes are too accustomed to your comfy heated cockpits and your flaps and retractable undercarriages and big guns and armour plate and aeroplanes that actually fly in a straight line. Next you'll be wanting the Regimental Sergeant Major to come and tuck you into bed you lilly livered puff pastry miserable excuses for airmen. HiTech gave you four - not ONE but FOUR - actual nearly-flying machines to choose from, and a place to nearly-fly them, what more can a real man ask for... (swigs generous mouthful of OP rum from hip flask) ... ahhhh... pansies! Did the real aviators of WW1 fare any better? No! Here's your approximation of an aircraft, here's your silk scarf, now get up there and die like a man.
(farts loudly and belligerently)
Come get some! :D

Bases to shut down, trenches to strafe, balloons to bust, or some other tactical objective to make arena play more than an endless and pointless furball, that's what. That's why my interest in WW1 dropped to nothing after a week of two.
