Title: Week of November 5-11: On the Defensive
Post by: Mister Fork on November 06, 2010, 03:37:34 PM
ON THE DEFENSIVE(Winter 1944)

As the battle around Japanese occupied terrorties continue, new allied aircraft come into play.  With the IJN practically eliminated, Allied forces start to regain air superiority. As British and American carriers establish air cover, the IJN and IJA forces struggle to compete.  Two wings of Ki-45's have shown up - but without expected delivery of the Ki-84, and Ki-100 for months to come, it's a tough battle.

Pretty Allied heavy plane set. The CV based F4U1-A should be replaced with the F6F5 if you're worried about it jabo capability adjust what it can carry. The Corsair was rare period for CVs in 44 save for a couple of night fighters. What's with all the Spits in your PTOs? The reason I'm asking is because the PTO is always a hard sell to get Axis pilots to show up. The only advantage the Axis pilot usually has in a PTO is manuverability and you deminish it with the Spitfire.
It's been mentioned in the past the best PTOs don't have to have both the USN/USMC and USAAF gangbanging a Japanese planeset of three or less. One service will give you a decent well rounded setup. Now it the USN/USMC USAAF Fleet Air Arm and RAF against a meger Japanese lineup. Also you're throwing in the Mossie, jebus did you get some bad Kobe steak or sushi recently?? Just saying.
