Title: who would win?
Post by: Wildcat1 on November 07, 2010, 04:31:05 PM
went to an airshow in Jacksonville, Florida a couple weeks ago and was wondering....

in a no-holds-bar dogfight, with pilots of equal skill, who would win, the F/A-18 or the Su-27?

honest, un-biased answers please.

i agree because i heard somewhere that Russian aircraft are still assembled using rivets, therefore making it unsuitable for extreme ACM's

Hrm...

Seems that the Su-27's air to air is quite a longer range.

Lot of "Unknowns" but in a straight up knife fight the Su-27 would have the upper hand.

I'm calling it equal if the Su27 was not thrown together like so many of the russian aircraft have been through the years.

The one caring the better missile and radar.

I think it would depend on the skill and training of the pilot.
