Ok, it seems that my Analog Saitek has given up the ghost. So im looking at getting a digital joystick Wingman extreme digital.
So couple of questions:
1. Whats Logitech sticks like? Whats the aforementioned one like? quality? durability? etc...
2. I have CH Pro pedals (Analog) that i wish to keep using. Can i just hook them up to the digital JS or not? The JS is non-USB - ditto the pedals.
Really need some fast advice on this - HELP

Spatula,
I seem to recall a post about this mix. If you have a USB machine use the stick as a USB single and hook the rudder pedals up to the regular game port. I don't recall anything else about it though. You might want to do a search of the bbs for the earlier posts.

The Saitek analog stick was a real bug, but the good news is that the Saitek USB x36 combo is excellent.
I strongly recommend you check out that Saitek USB x36 combo. It will work just fine in Aces High with analog pedals. Plug the pedals into the old slow gameport and the stick into the usb. Go to windows to calibrate the pedals. The USB stick will calibrate itself. Then go into Aces High joystick set up area and assign the pedals to the rudder axis.
That's all there is to it.
I used this set up for quite a while. Now I have all USB stuff.
You can download my Saitek USB profile from the download page for a starter.
Good luck.

I have used a Wingman extreme digital with anolog pedals. I now have an Interceptor. Hooked them up with a y-cable from radio shack.
Make sure to use logitech software 3.20 or newer, 3.30 is what I have on this machine. In WINDOWS game controllers, make sure to tell it you have rudder pedals and calibrate them there.
Durability? Think I broke a centering spring in the Wingman extreme digital once. It has pots, the Interceptor doesn't. My "back view" on one hat switch sometimes sticks on the Interceptor. Can't think of anything else.

Cheers guys for the promt replies.
I got the Wingman digital Extreme, and it spiked like an olympic volleyball player, so i took it back and had it replaced with a new 'old fathfull' saitek cyborg 2000 - which is what my original stick was. Checking it on the windows calibration page she's smooth as (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Now i can fly again - watch out (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) Just gotta get the mechanic to fit it to my mustang.
