I have a strong desire to join another game's forums and start wishing for things without ever playing.

Likely the earliest varients with the least A-bomb compatability for better continuity.

The only Atomic bomb capable B-29's were the Silverplate ships that were specially modified to carry the nuclear weapon. B-29 and B-29A are pretty much the same aircraft but with slightly different performance; the B-29A having lesser range but having a higher rate of climb (according to my source). The B-29B is a relatively esoteric ship that although production built over 600 of them, the radar capabilities of both the Eagle (BTO) and tail gun laying radar are not conducive to the game as it is right now. (we don't have operable airborne radar). If it were to be added, I'd probably never fly one unless I could get it above 35K...it's just too vulnerable in the AH2 world to survive with just three fifties in the tail...I think the Lancaster is more survivable (and they go down like a hobo on a bologna sandwich). :rofl

THis isn't a game chaging plane..just another one.
The wings will still be able to be romoved with the proper amount of .50 sawing....or 20mm choppin. GUnners will still have a starship with guns to fire back.
Big deal...the towns won't be dropped any easier either.
Just a buff....enjoy to all the buff guys and have a great time with em all you fighter guys. If everything holds as usual...they'll be a novelty for a few weeks then back to normal.

Great Point...like you said...after 2-3 weeks guys will find the easiest ways to kill em and the Buff drivers flyin em will whine about how the "B29 wouldnt have gone down that easy" and blah blah blah. Nothin a 3-5 sec burst of 110 cannons cant take care of lol :rock

How about this? Let's have 2 version of B-29.
Make B-29A a perk bomber and B-29B a non perk bomber with the Lowest ENY.
B-29B would give new players at least an access to B29 but at the expense of defensive firepower, kinda like Lancasters.

Plus you played the game for a whole 2 weeks. And you think you can suggest what this game needs? HA

Studying accounting and being a member of accounting association unfortunately leaves me no time to play. So for now i can't justify paying if I can't play.
at least I now have ideas of how non US planes fly here.
I must commend HTC for at least making them a worthy opponent :aok

Bud, HTC knows what they're doing when it comes to this game. We may want something our way but that's not always whats best. Let them do their jobs the way they know how.

Life won't change after you get your degree and start working, you'll still be pressed on time to play, except now you'll have the income to be able to burn some of it on this rare and elusive thing called "free time".
Moral of the story: you're only young once, so have some fun while you're at it.

I read the boards all the time and you haven't made a good suggestion yet :rolleyes: Get some time in the game before you start flappin your lips.

jeez why do people hate the B-29 so much, whats wrong with you. the ME262 is very hard to take down yet you dont complain about it. whats so different about the Superfotress.
I don't know about other people, but I don't hate the B29, I'm just afraid of how it will be used in the game.
The 262 is a good example, as well as the 163. Both were not seen often in the "war" and the perks on them in the game are set to mimic that by making them less used. Well I see far to many fights ruined by 262's flying in 3 and 4 pairs just pickin the crap out of the players. The same goes for the buff missions that get hammered by dozens of them over the HQ's.
The B29 un perked will be the go to bomber for everything due to its speed and bomb load. It will be used as high level bombing to dive bombing spawn camps. Even perked you'll see a lot of this because people have so many bomber perks now that it will take months for them to be used up.

Unfortunately I was at work during the ballot and the company thought police have AH banned so I couldn't ask / vote for a Swordfish.
