Title: Saitek X65-F and Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals
Post by: EagleDNY on November 12, 2010, 09:39:00 AM
Has anyone tried out the new Saitek X65-F or their new Combat Rudder Pedals systems?  I'm shopping around for some new stuff and wanted to get some opinions from people actually using them in AH.  I like the idea of metal in my stick and pedals, but I am not sure that I will like the "force sensing" as opposed to stick moving technology.  If anyone is using either of these, how about posting me your opinion on them.

Thanks,
EagleDNY

I don't think the combat pedals are released yet. They look like a cosmetic upgrade of the regular pedals so they should be OK but Hall type sensors would make them worth the price.

Combat Pedals aren't due out for a few more months from what I have heard.

I saw end of November at Gameshark UK posted at Saitek.

I'm curious about anyone's experience with the X-65F as well.   I sent my G940 back for a refund and just waiting for the check.   Also want to hear from anybody using the new Warthog from Thrustmaster.

EDIT: Just so Heater's review in different thread.  Sounds like a winner but it could be a wait.

You might want to go check out some of the reviews over at SimHQ on the various HOTAS setups out there. They did a roundup back right after the X65 was released that covered everything on the market up till then. They have done a quick review on the Warthog as well and a more comprehensive one is due very soon.
