Title: Screen Resolution Problem Caused by AH?
Post by: Muzzy on November 14, 2010, 12:30:53 AM
I'm running the 32 bit of Vista and using a Geoforce 95000 video card.  I've noticed that since I've installed AH a problem will come up where the screen resolution in windows will get stuck at the lowest setting and require a reboot (or a couple of reboots) before I can change the setting back. I know there can be other reasons for this problem (I've googled it and tried various solutions) but is it possible that AH might be the reason?

I don't think the game messes with any of your computer settings, so I don't think it could change your resolution.

As for a solution, I haven't got a clue.

My g/f's 9500 was doing something very similar... sometimes THE SIMS would lock up on her and when closing manually windows would be at some stupid resolution.. like 320X200...  A reboot fixed this but it happened about every 3rd or 4th time she played.

Shortly after, I upgraded my video card and gave her my 9800GTX which corrected the issues.

(I should also note that we put her old 9500 in her dad's computer and it completely failed a couple weeks later.  After replacing it with a new card of the the same identical one, his computer was back up and running)

I'm banking on a hardware issue, but it could be a drivers thing too...

The game does not mess with any settings in your computer, at all.  Aces High is one of the most innocuous programs you can install on your computer.  We make one registry entry to tell Windows where we are and everything else is installed in the game folder.  Nothing hidden.
