TV is already full of crappy reality TV shows, we do not need another Jersey Shore set in Alaska featuring Alaska's #1 village idiot and her family.
ack-ack

LMAO..
And she complains about the media.
So she does a reality show?
-

Did not think it's supposed to be a reality show. Thought it was more about showing Alaska. I guess we will see shortly.
-
i believe it is a documentry.

68Zoom, Lew and ACK share my same sentiments.

Its like the show was made with circumventing Rule 14 in mind. We're not talkin' bout politics, we're talkin' bout reality TV.

Sans the pesky reality part...

Documentary? I would be if it was Michael Palin's "Alaska" and not
this vacuous, zipper head's "show. "
Wonder of she'll point out Russia?! lol
-
Great Job of expressing political opinions surreptitiously.
How many of you drank the kool-aid and believe it was Palin who made the silly comment "I can see Russia from my house."
That was Tina Fey impersonating her. Palin never said that.
I don't think the OP intended this to become a political smear thread.

GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?
PALIN: They’re our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.
GIBSON: What insight does that give you into what they’re doing in Georgia?
PALIN: Well, I’m giving you that perspective of how small our world is and how important it is that we work with our allies to keep good relation with all of these countries, especially Russia.
That's exactly what she said. Verbatim. It was a foreign policy question regarding Russian action in Georgia, that she took as a "who's in the neighborhood in Alaska" Reading comprehension is a skill I wish everyone had. Nice revisionist attempt though. Tina Fey just shortened it, and made it funny instead of extremely sad and disheartening.
About the show, actually the funniest thing I've watched for 10 minutes in a long time. Hilarious, actually. Funny thing is, it's not supposed to be. She's a complete shortbus special.

I am aware of the statement she made.
What kind of question is that anyway? that she should have more insight due to the states proximity?
Why didn't he simply frame it as a foriegn policy question with out the proximity qualifier?
IMO If she was as stupid as you seem to believe she is, she wouldn't have already accomplished more than you ever will.
All this show is is a profile of Alaska hosted or introduced by one of it's most famous residents. Why people need to turn it into an opportunity to criticize her as a political figure, which your "disheartening" and "sad" comments prove is your motivation, is beyond me.
Classy touch on the photo of the downs syndrome actor.
-
"I am aware of the statement she made. "
One minute you weren't. Then next you are? Flip?
FLOP!
"...beyond me"
Obviously.
If you can't understand that I can see Russia from my house"
is the same things as ""You can see Russia from Alaska."
One is funny - Fay
The other downright vapid - Palin
-
:headscratch:
Just because I find the parody, taken out of context and reworded, to be totally different from a response to a question that mentions proximity? OK then.
-
lol. oh man. talk about cool aid.
The reply was to Gibson's question response to foreign policy.
The answer was so shallow and missed by such a mile (even
the follow up explanation) that the answer begged to be made
fun of.
-
It's OK jimson, some people are gonna believe whatever they are told without any concern for factual statements.
We could quote a ton of nonsense spoken by prominent members of the left, but why bother. The "new-castronians" will simply turn a blind eye and continue to rant against the woman. Some will even go so far as to make fun of the fact that she has a mentally retarded child. (Pathetic)
While I don't care much for the woman, I do feel that she's basically a decent person who is trying her best to shed light on what she believes to be right. Nobody can fault someone for that. (Unless fear and/or ignorance prevails in one's mind.)

PS: Sarah Palin or Tina Fey? Tough one, but I'd have to go with Tina. rrrraaaawwwrrr
