Title: HELP MS Sidewinder settings in Ah
Post by: LUPO on September 30, 2001, 12:07:00 PM
Once again I have trouble setting my MS Sidewinder FFB with the AH Joistick setting software. I'm unable to set input for shft+button (shift+button A etc...)So, how can I do the job? Now we have 32 buttons available but I can use only 9.
Any suggestion?

are you doing this via the sw software or the AH j/s and/or key mapping?

i've had the same problem since installing Win2k professional... i map my j/s buttons through the AH j/s mapping feature, but can only map single buttons... not a combination of buttons(ie Shift + Button1, etc...)

I've never been able to map the shift+button combos with AH.  I'm not sure there is anything that AH can do about that, it depends on how the stick works.  I suspect those combo ones don't really count as separate buttons.

The good news is they work fine if you make a profile in the sidewinder software to use those shift+button combos to emulate keypresses.

<punt>

unfortunately if u have Windows XP u cant even do that any more as the Sidewinder software wont work and there is no mention of this on the website nor any indication of when/if a fix will be available AND THIS IS FROM THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THE OS!!  :mad:

I've never been able to make my shift button work. I just resorted to using 2 stick sets and using one of the buttons on the base as to switch between the sets.
