Title: My Rise and Fall To Cap
Post by: Molsman on November 16, 2010, 11:59:56 AM
Alrighty here it goes Last night Br17 came in and checked out AvA, I saw Cap starting to sneak up on Br17's 6 so I thought I would try and sneak onto LtCap's 6 and snuff him out but that did not work as planned. Cap ended up Smoking Br17 as I saw flames in the sky in front of me I took a Pot Shot at him and missed this then in turn to last into a close 10 minute engagement between Cap's White Tailed 39 and my 109.

Engaging Cap

At this time I thought I had him and and I was able to stay on his 6 for a while with some close flyby's

Well after that quick burst I started to roll then somehow I lost my advantage on Him and then i turned to evasive moves and all hoping he would clip the barn but that did not work

Permission to Buzz the Barn Watch out Sheep!!!

After the Barn buzzing attempt Cap got a a hit on me and then it was starting to end real fast

Tried a few more moves but could not shake him off my 6

then a few more burst from Cap my flight came to an oily end

The fights were fun and I would like to see shots from your ends of the film on this Cap

dam dood....good pics.

in that second one, it looks like it was mere luck that that fight went on......you didn't miss by much.

that was a great fight.....down on the deck, dodging those overmodeled trees.

what you forgot to mention, was in one of our later fights, i was looking out the top of the canop at ya, and drove the cobra right into the water.  :rofl

yea...it was a long one. you spent a lot of time on my six. those close up views are from me zooming for the shot.....then i go to the external view in the film viewer. i liked the ones over the barn, and i liked that one with us both nose up trees in the backround.......

Cap how are you getting the effect where the camera is zoomed in on both aircraft? I can't seem to achieve that.

Film viewer...
Freeze playback at the scene you want...
Use the standard head movement keys to move your view (anywhere, including outside the plane)...
Play with zoom and camera location to frame the shot you want...
Ta da...done.

Sorry, I'm not Cap...but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.   :D

LOL
 :rofl

actually, i'm glad you said that. i'll try it.

i'm only able to get them, because i zoom in for some shots. i toggle to the zoom during the fight, then adjust it as necessary, and it gives me what you see, if i switch to external view in the film viewer. if i want these kinds of shots, i then uncheck the "use recorded views" box, and run the film stupidly slow, and manually follow the con around. it's hard, but it gives me some nice shots.

that one with us coming up, trees in the backround, i jumped into crazy's plane, and dragged the view around.

finally the tables have turned!!

Hey!  Think of taking advantage of all the nice Russian skins we have for that plane, inasmuch as this is set on the East Front.

after playing with the films there are 2 sliders on the bottom and side of the film viewer, you can play with them to actually get different angles of the same screen that is how I was able to get some of shots where in the film itself Cap was not in the picture when he was on my 6 so I had to zoom all the way in and play with the angles to get that view. other then that I am still learning the different things with the film view.  and at times I can freeze it to actually get the pics of the tracers coming out. wait til the next week when the new settings happen and hopefully next year I can upgrade to get the awesome graphics and a new system

i might just price that from him to see if i can afford it. i'm on one of his systems now, and it'll be 3 years old in jan. it could not have performed more perfectly for pretty much EVERYTHING i've done on it.

mine hopefully will, but i don't think so. just bought an enclosed trrailer.....took a few months to pay it off.

i think the next thing i'm gonna buy, is a standby generator for home.

over the summer, a storm knocked out power in a lot of nj, which is somewhat rare.....but our neighborhood was 3 days without power. that has never happened before, but for some reason(possibly paranoia) i foresee this happening more.
