Title: Thrustmaster and Windows XP
Post by: Vipermann on December 10, 2001, 08:47:00 AM
Ok Guys I have a question. I use a F16-FLCS and TQS for flying AH. These are programmed and I never change the programming since the only thing I use it for is AH. With Windows XP the programming software no longer functions (I've been told), my question is will the joystick still respond to the setup that is already in it? I don't mind hooking the joystick up to a different computer to upload to it but I want to make sure that once it is programmed it will still work in XP. Has anyone tried this or have any thoughts on whether this will work or not?

It should work with the setup that is currently loaded.  If I were you, however, I'd stop by  http://www.stickworks.com (http://www.stickworks.com)  and check out their forums.  They sell a digital upgrade kit for the TM F22/F16/TQS devices.  Its money well spent.

yea I was really debating on doing the upgrade but I decided to hold off and spend the money on the cougar when (if) it comes out. I'll be trying it tonight so I guess I'll find out. Thanks

viper

you wont be able to reprogram it in xp, but as long as you keep the same driver loaded you will be fine.
