My set of headphones doesent have a volume control on them and they plug directly into my sound card, my problem is that for some reason my computer will not remember the volume adjustments i set in the little speaker thing in the taksbar, every time I reboot it sets everything at almost full blast, is there any software out there that would allow me to map "volume up" and "volume down" to my keyboard so that I could adjust them while in a game or program, I am getting sick of firing up aces high, hitting E to start engine and having my brains blown out my nostrils by my headphones.
P.S. I am using SB LIVE Value.

Hi Wobbel--I have the same card, almost, the platinum. What I did was right click the speaker , lower left, and adjust the volume on the level out puts.
Hope this works.

ComUSA has a cheap keyboard that has controls for stuff including volume. It's put out by CompUSA and is a Multi-Media, think it cost $19.95 or so. Works great too (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
