From what I understand, and see in the game, we are allowed to have La-5F skins on our La-5FN,

It is a nice scheme but the way the spinner is mapped on the La5FN won't let me paint the star properly. It would look stretched and blurry.

would it be possible to "tastfully modify" it so that everthing else is correct but just leave the spinner white?

I could leave the star off, or maybe just blur it so it would simulate the effect of a spinning spinner. I'll put this scheme on my future projects list, but it may be a while before I get a chance to skin it.

and yeah, if you added the star I would imagine the spinner spinning would just make it look like a red dot, so you could also try to just do the tip of the spinner red aswell?
