HE was available to 17-pounders, just dont know if the stationary installations used it or not

HE doesn't kill troops better than AP. You still need direct hits.

I use the manned ack for those things :) I even like killing tanks with them. WHOOORRRRAAYY BEER.... Sorry, Just a sudden intense urge to say that.
